‘Gou Dhare’ Foundation
A handful of like-minded people thinking about the purpose of life, a bold step taken forward by the little chapu of all our venerable ‘Gou Dhare’,
Along with the conservation of endangered desi cows, our mission is to serve to build a healthy society by promoting organic farming.
About 170 km from Bangalore. At Gannayakanalli in Hiriyur taluk, far away, in a 17-acre garden, we have designed a system for living desi cows in a three-acre space among trees such as coconut, banana, walnut, mango, sapota, tamarind, neem etc.
In the coming days we would like to introduce a special concept called “Weekend @ Gou Dhare” to those who come to watch ‘Gou Dhare’ on weekends.
In this regard, several huts have been built and accommodation for the cow-herds is arranged, but also the life of a common farmer living in the hut is introduced by providing him with the daily food he eats and by introducing the practical experience of the work related to agriculture, the importance of the inseparable relationship between cow and agriculture is highlighted.
